Gearing Up With...Tanoa Stewart, A-Town Booking Agency & Events

For Tanoa Stewart, working in live event production comes second nature. As a teenager, Stewart worked the main stage at the Alameda County Fair and served as a roadie for Tower of Power. Since then, Tanoa has worked sound, lighting and staging for countless gatherings, including concerts and corporate events. In his spare time, he DJs under the name DJ Samoa Boy.

When he’s working on large load-ins and setting up for concerts, Tanoa makes sure to always have his Gig Gloves handy.

“I always wear them, especially when we are setting up staging,” Tanoa said, adding that he saw them at the 2020 NAMM Show and bought a pair as soon as he got home.

Even though he’s only had the Gloves for about two months, he’s already determined his favorite feature: the removeable fingertips.

Gig Gear developed the removable fingertips so users could perform any task or work on touchscreen devices without ever needing to take off the Gloves.

“I love using the removeable fingertips for when I’m setting up but have to work on a tablet or phone,” Tanoa explained.
