BROOKLYN, NY — October 09, 2018 – Gig Gear LLC, maker of Gig Gloves, work gloves designed for musicians, AV techs and other live event professionals, is excited to announce jazz saxophonist Alonzo Wright has joined the company’s artist roster.

A musician and composer, Wright has collaborated with many talented artists, including famed drummer Bashiri Johnson, jazz bassist Reggie Washington and jazz pianist Onaje Allan Gumbs.

In addition to playing saxophone, Wright is also a drummer and flautist, and while saxophone might be his main instrument, his primary concern while playing on the road is protecting his hands.

“Being a saxophonist and flautist, it’s imperative that I protect my hands against the rigors of set up and tear down,” Wright said. “Gig Gloves give me worry-free protection while moving gear during my shows — whether it’s lifting heavy stage monitors or moving rack equipment.”

In addition to wearing his Gig Gloves during his own shows, Wright also makes sure to bring a pair along while he tours and road manages with other artists.

“My Gig Gloves almost never leave my hands,” Wright said. “Moving keyboards, amps and drums can take a serious toll on your unprotected hands, but wearing Gig Gloves always solves that problem.”

Featuring a strong nylon threading throughout, Gig Gloves boast TPR molding on the back of the hand and fingers to ensure ultimate protection against impact, abrasions or pinching. Fold-over fingertips allow for use of smaller tools and items, and Gig Gloves work with touchscreen devices without needing to remove the gloves. They are available in three models: Original Gig Gloves, all-black Gig Gloves ONYX and fleece-lined THERMO Gig Gloves and come in 6 sizes (XS-XXL).
